GOVERNANCE
GSSC is governed by its Articles of Association, the Academy Trust Handbook, Company and Charity Law, alongside education legislation and guidance from the DfE. The trustees are non-executive directors and operate to fulfil the Trust's charitable objectives.
The highest tier of Governance is the Member Body.
MEMBERS
The Trust has three members, of whom only one is a Trustee
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Members appoint Trustees and also appoint the CEO as a Trustee. There are currently 6 Trustees including the CEO and Company Secretary (CFO).
FUNCTION OF THE TRUSTEES
The Trustees meet at least five times a year as a full board and also sit on committees of the board. The Board's function is to focus on the high-level performance of the Trust and its strategic development. Trustees are also known as non- executive directors.
